About Our Managing Partner

Angeli is an award-winning corporate partner with decades of experience in private equity, M&A, financial restructurings, investor actions, complex business/shareholder disputes and corporate governance issues. She is one of the few lawyers with a truly international outlook gained from running practices in Europe, Hong Kong and South Africa.

Listed in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2023, Angeli has also been ranked in various legal journals including Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers during her career. Awards include Commercial Lawyer of the Year, Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2023; Partner of the Year: Highly Commended, African Legal Awards, 2020 and M&A lawyer of the year, Women in Law Awards, 2019.

Angeli acts as trusted advisor to prominent financial institutions, funds, family offices, corporates and HNW entrepreneurs on a wide range of investment strategies. At one end of the investment spectrum, Angeli has a long history of working with high profile activist/special situations investors and has a deep understanding of how activist tactics have developed around the world over time. She also acts for a number of private equity funds, having completed private equity transactions in at least 50 jurisdictions. At the other end of the investment spectrum, Angeli works on impact investments, having developed legal strategies to support and promote such investments particularly during her time in Africa.

Previous positions include corporate partner at a top tier US law firm (where she became one of their youngest partners), heading up the Hong Kong office of the US law firm and regional leader of Dentons’ Africa Private Equity practice.
